Our aim is to encourage those in local government, their partners, and the people they serve to recognise impressive achievements in a tough climate and to take the innovation forward into the future.

We accept a maximum of two applications per category from each authority.  We produce a comprehensive guidance pack for applicants which sets out all the information you need about the application proces, as well as more information on our categories, and tips and hints on how to put together an award winning application.

Timetable for Submissions

Our new extended timescale for submissions has proved popular, and in 2012 organisations will therefore continue to have extra time to develop their applications.   We’ll also continue with our new feedback loop which ensures that short leeted applicants get feedback to help them prepare for their presentations to the judging panel.  We do not provide feedback about unsuccessful projects before the overall winners are announced other than in exceptional circumstances.
