Enhancement of Open Spaces and Council Roundabouts

The Grounds Maintenance team are constantly looking for relevant projects and work experience to satisfy their apprentices college course remits and to enable them to gain first hand experience of design and construction. Current work required to maintain roundabouts, central reservations and approaches was not sustainable. Relying heavily on cyclical maintenance and changing the maintenance regime or reducing it drastically has had a massive impact, improving maintenance costs, sustainability of works and reducing the council’s carbon footprint.
